Introduction to the techniques of Jacques Le Coq, "The Moving Body"
In this workshop we will focus of some of the principles developed and taught by Le Coq. The workshop is aimed at theatre practitioners, who want to improve their ability and understanding of the body and it's movement through time and space. By using movement and gesture to reinforce performance and narrative, the workshop will also investigate the quality of movements and the beauty of a moving body.

"Behind the Mask"

In this workshop we will start to develop some of Le Coq's core principles and use the mask as a catalyst for more character based work. Working with Neutral mask, Larval mask and Character mask we will explore play and the spontaneity of creativity, eliminating self questioning or doubt. The workshop is aimed at theatre practitioners who want to develop their understanding of the body in it's ability to tell narrative through the gesture and movement of a character.

Sunday's workshop will take place at The Sean O'Casey Theatre, East Wall
 TEATR NIKOLI workshops combine elements of pantomime, acrobatic, theatre del’Arte,
juggling, dance improvisation, improvisation with a partner and an object/prop. They are accompanied by different kinds
of music from classical, through to contemporary, jazz, to ethnic sounds.
