Gerry McDonnell's new collection of poetry, Mud Island Anthology, (Lapwing Publications, Belfast) will be launched by Mick Rafferty. This is Gerry's fifth collection and deals with "ordinary people", heroes and heroines of the daily grind; people who lived in and around Ballybough on the north inner city of Dublin. They speak from beyond the grave, giving us a unique insight into their private lives. Gerry has written for television, stage and radio. He is a member of the Irish Writers' Union and the Irish Playwrights' and Screenwriters' Guild.
