The final thesis and project work by the 4th year Interior Architecture students at Griffith College will engage with      the urban fabric of Dublin inner city today. Each student will work on individual projects within a given part of the city centre. This project will focus on bringing attention to the North Georgian Quarter, an overlooked and       underdeveloped part of the city that has important social and historical learning’s for the student as well as a wealth of interesting building fabric from the 18th 19th 20th and 21st century from which the student can choose.

Each student is required to select an existing building within the given urban framework, research its history and propose a series of new functions (or improve those that exist) for the building that: A. Attract new visitors/users to   the Area; B. Offer a use/benefit to those already living locally and C. Provide employment opportunities within or administering to the new proposals/building functions.
